Sponsor. Alternatives, Inc. (doing business as the Direct Care Foundation), 2281 South Edgewood Road, Millbrook, AL 36054.
Promotion Period. 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time on June 20, 2026 through 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on September 21, 2026.
Eligibility. Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older, or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is greater; employees, officers, directors, contractors, agents, and immediate family/household members of the Alternatives, Inc. are excluded, as well as any administrative or judging agency contracted to administer or judge the sweepstakes.
How to Enter. Entries can be submitted either by signing up for the Direct Care Foundation Newsletter at www.directcare.org/newsletter or by emailing your name and address to hello@directcare.org. You do not need to sign up for the newsletter to enter.
Entry Limit. Limit one (1) entry per person for the entire Promotion Period, regardless of entry method. Duplicate or multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified, and only the first eligible entry received will count.
Prize(s). Three separate $500 cash prizes awarded to three separate entrants; no substitution except at sponsor’s discretion; winners paid by check.
Winner Selection. Three separate random drawings on or about July 21, 2026, August 25, 2026, and September 22, 2026.
Winner Notification. Email notification; winner must respond within five (5) business days. If no response is received within five (5) business days, a different winner will be selected.
Odds. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Taxes. Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.
General Conditions. Sponsor may disqualify fraudulent, automated, duplicate, or noncompliant entries.
Privacy. Entrants’ information will be used to administer the sweepstakes and, if they subscribe, to send the newsletter. Anyone who has subscribed to the newsletter may unsubscribe at any time and doing so will not affect their entry in the sweepstakes or their chances of winning the sweepstakes. Winner List. To request the winner’s name, please e-mail us at hello@directcare.org within sixty (60) days after the end of the promotion period listed above.
Void Where Prohibited. This sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
Release of Liability. By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising from or in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or incomplete entries, or for any technical, hardware, software, or network failures of any kind.
Verification Requirements. Potential winners may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability/publicity release, and any required tax documentation within a timeframe specified by the Sponsor. Failure to complete required documents may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
Prize Delivery Timing. Prizes will be delivered within sixty (60) days after the winner has completed all required verification documents. Sponsor is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate contact information provided by the winner.
Forfeiture Conditions. A prize may be forfeited if: (i) the winner does not respond to the notification within the required time; (ii) the winner fails to complete required verification documents; (iii) the winner is found to be ineligible; or (iv) the prize cannot be delivered due to inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the winner.
Sponsor’s Decisions Final. All decisions of the Sponsor regarding eligibility, winner selection, and all other aspects of the Sweepstakes are final and binding.
Right to Modify or Cancel. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Proof of Entry Not Proof of Receipt. Proof of sending an entry does not constitute proof of receipt by the Sponsor. Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeping device for entries made by newsletter subscription, while Sponsor’s incoming e-mail timestamps will be the timekeeping device for entries made by e-mail.
Governing Law and Venue. The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
Publicity Release. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of a prize constitute permission for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name, city and state of residence, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further compensation or notice.
Platform Disclaimer. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform on which it may be promoted.
Acceptance of Official Rules. By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final.
Severability. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and all remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
